Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or paying for F1Alerts, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

F1Alerts is a private service and is not affiliated with the US Embassy, the US Government, the US Department of State, or any visa authority.

2. What F1Alerts does

F1Alerts is a monitoring and notification service. It watches for available F-1 visa appointment slots at Indian VACs and consulates and sends you email and/or phone call alerts when slots appear.

F1Alerts does not:

• Book visa appointments on your behalf
• Guarantee that you will get an appointment
• Have any relationship with the US Visa Scheduling portal or the embassy
• Guarantee that every slot opening will be detected or that every alert will be delivered

3. Third-party dependencies

F1Alerts is built on top of third-party services that we do not control:

• CheckVisaSlots — provides the slot availability data. You must have your own CheckVisaSlots account and provide your access code. If CheckVisaSlots changes their API or suspends your account, we cannot fetch slot data.
• US Visa Scheduling portal — the official portal where appointments are booked. F1Alerts has no relationship with this portal.
• Twilio — powers phone call alerts. Call delivery depends on your carrier, network, and whether DND is enabled.

Disruptions to any of these services may affect F1Alerts' ability to detect or deliver alerts. Such disruptions are outside our control.

4. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information during registration.
• Keep your CheckVisaSlots access code up to date and ensure your sessions are not exhausted.
• Ensure your phone number is correct and able to receive calls.
• Act promptly when you receive an alert — slots fill within seconds.
• Not share your F1Alerts account with others.

5. Payment and subscription

F1Alerts is a prepaid, non-recurring subscription priced at ₹349 for 30 days. There is no automatic renewal — your subscription simply expires and you can choose to renew manually.

Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments. By paying, you agree to Cashfree's terms in addition to ours.

6. Limitation of liability

F1Alerts is provided on a best-effort basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the reliability, accuracy, or completeness of slot data or alert delivery.

F1Alerts shall not be liable for:

• Missed visa appointments due to undelivered or delayed alerts
• Slot data inaccuracies from CheckVisaSlots
• Losses arising from inability to book an appointment
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription period during which the issue occurred.

7. Prohibited use

You may not use F1Alerts to:

• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service or slot data
• Automate actions on the US Visa Scheduling portal
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the CheckVisaSlots API beyond normal use
• Violate any applicable law

We reserve the right to terminate accounts found in violation of these terms without refund.

8. Changes to the service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. In the event of discontinuation, we will notify active subscribers and provide a prorated refund for unused days.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
